ABOUT
Like most, my writing journey started as a child, handcrafting storybooks with podgy hands at aged four, aged eight, aged twelve. Now, aged twenty-something, nothing much has changed but I've put the crayons down to focus fully on the written word, photography and design.

During the day, I write for Reach plc's digital publications including Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo, Bristol Live, The Mirror, Daily Record, Wales Online, My London and many more. At night, I write some more. My personal work ranges from essays discussing race, identity, and land, to fiction that explores singledom, homelessness and the urge to fit in, even when it's detrimental to our sanity.

My non-fiction book Blood and Water, published in 2020, examines identity, place, belonging, and the concept of a perceived dual Scottish-Cornish identity. It is set within the context of migration, refugees, Brexit and more. The reader joins me on a journey to find out about family history, discovering the difference between factual and emotive identity, and what this means in relation to current affairs. It poses the question: where are any of us really from… and does it matter?
Since gaining a first class degree in Creative Writing and Publishing from Bath Spa University in 2019, I have worked as a publicist, social media manager, publishing assistant, pottery assistant, proof reader, and as a commercial content writer and columnist for Reach plc.

Going forward, I hope to create content that inspires and empowers others in the fight for climate justice. Time is running out and we must act now. I am committed to working with my fellow humans to create a better, more sustainable world for all species. We've turned a blind eye for far too long and it's time to make positive, effective change.
